For the first episode of Voices of Basic Income, we hear from Laura Brämswig, co-founder of Expedition Grundeinkommen, a non-profit organization from Berlin that aims to initiate a public experiment for an unconditional basic income with the help of referendums (“Volksbegehren” and “Bürgerbegehren”) in Germany.
Laura shares her story of how and why she co-founded Expedition Grundeinkommen, her motivation behind supporting basic income as a policy, the challenges of campaigning for such a policy in Germany, and moments of inspiration from her journey with Expedition Grundeinkommen.
