About a year ago I realized my confidence had hit an all-time low. It was the first time in my life that I'd really felt a dip in my confidence and I knew I needed to do something about it. Over the past year, I introduced 7 habits into my daily life that not only rebuilt my confidence, but improved it! Today I'm sharing those with you. The best part about confidence is that it isn't only innate. There are 5 factors that make up confidence, and 2 of these can be worked on at any point in our lives. That means that if you're feeling insecure, a bit shaken, or just want to polish up what you have - it's totally possible. This 7 step confidence framework can be done by anyone, and goes beyond basic "fake it until you make it" talk. This is real stuff, like leaning into discomfort, learning how to speak up, building your trust in yourself, keeping promises, working on your physical health, becoming well-spoken, and more.
I also talk about:
- Social anxiety and comparison in the age of phones/social media
- Solo dates, classes, and trying new things alone
- Public speaking and communication skills
- Learning to handle conflict better
- Why confidence often grows quietly before you fully notice it
One of the biggest mindset shifts for me was realizing: Courage comes first. Confidence comes after.
