4 Components:
1. AROUSAL - Body triggers (heart rate, sweating, tension)
2. FEELING - Chemical reaction (cortisol, adrenaline)
3. MOTIVATION - Fight/flee vs approach mode
4. BELIEF SYSTEM - How you interpret the situation
Marcus: "If I lose, I'm worthless" → panics, moves stops, exits winners early
Sarah: "I don't deserve big wins" → sabotages profits unconsciously
Alex: 10 min daily meditation → observes emotions without reacting → executes flawlessly
Solution:
- NOT suppression. OBSERVATION.
- Pre-trade breathing ritual (calm nervous system)
- During-trade body check (tension = reset)
- Post-trade journaling (challenge beliefs)
Mental FITNESS not willpower.
Willpower depletes. Awareness doesn't.
Change belief system → change execution.
