We're back with another one!

If you've ever wrestled with the Bible and how people have used it to oppress our people, this is for YOU. One of the most common conversations we have as Black Christians is "How can you read that book considering what it has done to our people?" That's a real question, and we want to tackle it honestly.

That's why I called on a brother and Biblical scholar, Hakeem Bradley, to help us process this tension.

Outside of being a husband and father, Hakeem wears multiple hats. He is a biblical scholar, teacher, speaker, blogger, professor, consultant, and researcher. He holds a Master's in Theological and Biblical Studies from Western Seminary and is a Ph.D. candidate in New Testament Studies at Ridley College (Melbourne). He previously worked as an Associate Scholar at BibleProject and served as the chaplain for the College Park Skyhawks from 2024 to 2026. Additionally, he is an Academic Fellow with the Center for Hebraic Thought.

He has founded a new nonprofit, Sacred Patterns, to develop biblical literacy resources for children.
