Dr. Don Stader is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Addiction Medicine and the editor in chief for all of the Colorado's CURE Guidelines, Dr. Caitlin Dietsche is a hospitalist and assistant professor at University of Colorado and Dr. Cathy O’Neil is a hospitalist at Longmont United Hospital.
Colorado's CURE focuses on four pillars:
- Limiting the use of opioids in clinical practice
- Using multimodal alternatives to opioids (ALTO) to better treat pain without the risks that come with opioids
- Harm Reduction
- Improving care for those who have developed an opioid use disorder
