What do you do when life is painful and waiting seems endless? Where do you look when you're weary, discouraged, or longing for God to act?

As we continue our Songs of Ascents series in Psalm 123, we discover that our greatest need isn't for our circumstances to change immediately, but to lift our eyes to the King who reigns and whose mercy never fails. Our journey through life can sometimes feel like we are misinterpreted and misunderstood, or others twist our our words and we feel alone and helpless. Instead of responding in hostility or by compromising, this psalmist instead teaches us to entrust the situation to the Lord, just as Jesus did in his earthly life where his words were twisted and his enemies mocked him. He is the Prince of Peace who leads us to his City of Peace.
