We notice how the same broken person can be seen with mercy or used as evidence, and we ask what that reveals about our own hearts. We connect St. Paul’s hard truth about sin to a deeper goal of salvation, then hear Jesus invite us to bring forward the parts of life we keep hidden so he can heal them.
• Jesus and the Pharisees seeing the same man but not the same reality
• being right about what’s wrong while failing to love
• St. Paul naming serious sin without minimizing it
• discipline aimed at restoration and salvation, not punishment
• “Stretch out your hand” as an invitation to reveal weakness
• offering God resentment, secret habits, marital pain, anger, and loneliness
• grace and discipleship working together: our step and Christ’s healing
• small compromises growing into habits and identity
• an examination of conscience focused on what is becoming withered
Stretch it out to Christ and let him begin to heal you.
