We stand at a baptismal font and realize the smallest place can reveal the biggest story: God starts a new life in us and keeps growing it by grace. We measure that growth honestly, not by religious activity or travel, but by whether Christ is truly forming us into people who forgive, serve, and carry the Gospel outward.
• the baptismal font as a concrete reminder of baptismal grace and Christian identity
• St Paul’s teaching on planting, watering, and God giving the growth
• the warning that we can remain “infants in Christ” despite years of practice
• pilgrimage as conversion rather than religious tourism
• John Paul II’s formation through suffering and the refusal to become cynical
• Jesus healing, then sending people into service and mission
• the cross and resurrection as the center of the good news
• hard self-examination questions about forgiveness, resentment, prayer, love, and service
• returning home changed and sharing what we have received
