  • Doubting Thomas | Colin Hamilton
    2026/04/12

Do you ever feel like you’ve missed out on something in life and find yourself thinking, “what if”? Thomas knew that feeling. He missed seeing the risen Jesus when He first appeared to the other disciples, and doubt settled in.

But Thomas’ what ifs weren’t the end of the story, and neither are ours.

A week later, Jesus came back just for him and revealed himself to Thomas directly. What looked like doubt was turned into devotion!

In the middle of both the joys and difficulties of life, God knows exactly what we need. Through His grace and love, Jesus meets us there.

The resurrection reminds us that we haven’t missed Him. And when we invite His Spirit into our lives, we are redeemed and renewed and sent out to share that same good news with others.

  • Easter Sunday | Rebecca Hamilton
    2026/04/05

On Easter Sunday, Rebecca reflects on how we often encounter Jesus in the midst of the darkness. The resurrection itself happened in the darkness, reminding us that death and darkness are not the end—they’re actually the beginning of God’s light and life entering into our lives.

The risen Jesus is our hope, and we know this isn’t the end of the story because we already know how it will end. God will dwell with His people and make all things new, restoring things to how they were meant to be from the very beginning—before the fall of man—where there will be no sin, no suffering, and our relationship with God will be fully reconciled.

Easter reminds us that all things have been, and will be, made new through Jesus. Through His sacrifice, He took on all of humanity’s sin and death and conquered it. Victory was won on that first Easter, and it will be fully realised when God returns at the end of the story.

  • Lent Week 7 | Wisdom in the Wilderness | Colin Hamilton
    2026/03/29

This Palm Sunday, Colin led us in the final week of our Lenten series, Wisdom in the Wilderness. Reflecting on Jesus’ procession into Jerusalem, he reminded us that while the crowds were expecting a tyrannical king, Jesus came bringing peace—and wept over the city's expectations.

We often act the same way, publicly welcoming Jesus, while privately resisting him. Like the crowds, we often seek the Kingdom without the King.

The desert mothers and fathers we’ve been learning from this Lent devoted themselves fully to Jesus and were transformed in his presence.

So the question is: what areas of our lives are we keeping Jesus at a distance? If we want God to be at work in us, we need to surrender every part of our lives to him—because his peace, joy, and life are found when we bring our whole selves to him.

  • Lent Week 6 | Wisdom in the Wilderness | Scott Hill
    2026/03/22

*(There is some slight interference from background music during the first 4 minutes of the podcast, but clears up after that)

In week 6 of our Lenten series, Wisdom in the Wilderness, Scott explores the desert as a place to grow in humility. He asks us reflective questions and encourages us to see if the Holy Spirit is highlighting any of them as an area we should work on in our humility journey.

The desert takes away the voices we depend on to tell us who we are. Finding humility in the desert helps us trust that God knows best. We can turn away from pride that asks 'Who am I?' and turn towards humility that asks 'Whose am I?'

  • Lent Week 5 | Wisdom in the Wilderness | Colin Hamilton
    2026/03/15

In Week 5 of our Lenten series Wisdom in the Wilderness, Colin reflects on the desert as a place where wisdom can be found. Jesus teaches in the book of Matthew, that a wise person is someone who hears his words and puts them into practice, like the person who builds their house on the rock - Jesus as the strong foundation of our lives.

The wilderness helps us strip away distractions so we can hear God’s voice more clearly. But wisdom isn’t just about listening—it’s about living out and acting on what we hear. This week Colin invites us to create space to hear Jesus and to build our lives on his words.

  • Lent Week 4 | Wisdom in the Wilderness | Dilys Jones
    2026/03/08

In week 4 of our Lenten series, Wisdom in the Wilderness, Dilys reflects on the desert as a place of self-denial, focusing on the challenge of greed. Scripture warns us about the love of money, materialism, and worrying about worldly possessions, and instead invites us to seek heavenly treasures and trust in God’s provision. If God cares for the birds of the air and the fish of the sea, how much more will He care for us?

Dilys challenges us to see through the illusion of accumulation and consider what possessions we may be idolising. She also suggests practical ways to resist greed, including practicing gratitude, restricting unnecessary purchasing, and honouring the Sabbath as a reminder to trust that God provides exactly what we need.

  • Lent Week 3 | Wisdom in the Wilderness | Ruth Gyves
    2026/03/01

In this episode, Ruth reflects on the desert as a sacred place of silence and solitude — a space where we intentionally step away from distraction to be present with God.

She reminds us that while much of our faith involves words, true spiritual depth requires stillness. Without setting aside time to listen, we risk missing God’s voice and presence.

Ruth offers simple, practical guidance: choose a quiet, comfortable place, begin by breathing and becoming still, centre your time on Scripture, talk with God, and then pause to listen.

This episode is an invitation to rediscover solitude — not as emptiness, but as a space to encounter God’s love more deeply.

  • Lent Week 2 | Wisdom in the Wilderness | Rob Jones
    2026/02/22

In “A Call to Intensify Our Hunger for Holiness,” Rob really challenged us to be honest about our sin—when we choose our own ways over God’s way, and the patterns we keep falling back into. The truth is, every single one of us falls short and sin easily entangles us. But because of God’s unconditional love, we’re not stuck there. Through the perfect, sinless sacrifice of Jesus Christ, sin and death have been defeated, and we’re offered the free gift of salvation and grace. When we repent and accept Him as Lord and Saviour, we’re forgiven, made new, and promised eternal life.

But Rob reminds us that it doesn’t stop at being saved—we’re called to holiness. Sanctification is about intentionally turning away from sin and choosing to become more like Jesus. In this wilderness season, we’re invited into real self-examination—letting God uncover the roots, patterns, and desires that shape us. As we trust Him, He strengthens our roots in Christ and grows in us a deeper hunger for holiness.
