概要
Hollywood Hotline is a VCE Media podcast by Matthew Fajerman. The podcast explores current conversations across pop culture, music, and the entertainment industry, offering an inside look at what’s happening in the media through a mix of journalistic-style facts, commentary, and bold opinions.
The podcast is produced in a Q&A-style format driven by listener-submitted voicemails, which guide three core segments: Music Industry, Film Industry, and General Pop Culture.
Hollywood Hotline was written, recorded, and produced over seven months in 2025 as part of a VCE Media portfolio and received my school’s Creativity & Endeavour Award for Outstanding Achievement in Media Studies in 2025.
In creating this podcast, my biggest inspirations were the Shameless podcast by Shameless Media and Jake Shane’s Therapuss, which influenced the show’s tone and conversational style.
While this podcast was created as a student project, the feedback I received was largely positive, and I was encouraged to publicly share the final product. I hope to one day pursue opportunities in audio journalism and podcasting.
