She also emphasises the vital role of community both personal and professional and brings a reflective spiritual approach to her environmental work, seeing technical solutions as part of a broader purpose of stewardship and connection.

Her story is one of resilience, advocacy, and paving the way for more women in engineering.

Her work spans several countries, including Uganda, Germany, Scotland, and Denmark, and she’s led impactful projects in biogas technology, waste management, and sustainable development. In our conversation, she shares how she stumbled into a PhD, the motivations that have shaped her path, the role of mentoring and valuable advice for young engineers seeking purpose and direction in their careers.
