概要
What is hemophilia — and what does living with it actually look like? Dr. Eve Glazier is joined by family medicine physician Shawn Whelan, DO, to break down how this genetic bleeding disorder is managed today. They explain the role of clotting factors, why bleeding can be prolonged (including bleeding you can't see), and why symptoms vary so much from person to person. Dr. Whelan shares perspective from both clinical practice and lived experience, including how treatment has evolved, how to think about risk and staying active safely, and how patients and families can make informed decisions while protecting quality of life.
