Although this next chapter of Al Adab Al Mufrad deals with the etiquettes of having authority over slaves- this is no longer relevant to us practically. So in this session we go into a brief but InshaAllah useful overview of the history of slavery in Islam while utilising many of the hadith and narrations found in this chapter to help our understanding.

From someone who was an opponent of Islam to becoming of the two best of the sahaba, lets learn how 'Umar was able to elevate himself in the Sight of Allah so we too, can elevate ourselves.

This session we will reflect on how Islam teaches us comfort after what may be of the most tragic life-experiences anyone can go through: losing a child to death.

In this session we reflect on two hadith which teach us of the amazing rewards for looking after the widows, the poor and the orphans. We also reflect on how these two hadith demonstrate the superiority of Islam in building societies when compared to modernity.

Continuing through the narrations pertaining to the neighbours and specifically discussing the right our neighbours have that they not be harmed by us

Beginning with hadith 101, Imam Al Bukhari introduces the ahadith pertaining to how we should treat our neighbours.

Rounding out the first 100 Hadith of Al Adab Al Mufrad, we reflect on the lessons to be learned about looking after our children.

The Prophet PBUH feared for us that we would let the love for wealth ruin us. Let us see how Islam teaches us to break from the cycle of hoarding & consumerism which leaves only dissatisfaction and emptiness.
