In this episode, we sit down with Jessica Taggart — somatic and ceremonial guide, designer, artist, mother, grandmother, and founder of Pietra Munay. Jessica shares her journey of finding healing through creativity, reconnecting with her Peruvian roots, and remembering the wisdom that has always lived within her. Through art, ceremony, community, and her deep connection to Mother Earth, she reminds us that healing ourselves allows us to show up more fully for the generations before and after us. Her mission aligns so beautifully with ours at Mirror Mirror: to share our stories, reconnect with who we are, and create spaces where women feel seen, supported, and empowered.
We explore:
- Jessica's journey of healing herself first and how that led her to guide other women
- creating safe spaces through art, sewing, knitting, and other creative practices for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault
- reconnecting with her Peruvian heritage and the teachings of Pachamama (Mother Earth)
- how creativity can become a form of mindfulness, ceremony, and healing
- healing generational patterns and the evolving relationships between mothers and daughters
- the importance of community, slowing down, and remembering that we are never meant to do life alone
- choosing love over fear and learning to trust yourself through every season of life
- embracing aging as a beautiful return to yourself and stepping into your purpose
