- The security camera on level three had been offline since December 14, fifteen days before Hall disappeared, with a repair order still open and a part on back-order.
- Technician Edward York was dispatched on December 16, logged the visit, received the service door code, and did not return after that appointment.
- On January 9, Roy Adams cleared snow with a plow, dragging a thin brown leather wallet thirty feet that contained a folded strip of yellow paper reading "Level three" twice and a partial license plate matching the first four characters of a Garten Property Services white van.
