- Rhonda Campbell was reported missing after missing a shift on Thursday, June 12; her last confirmed phone ping was at 9:17 PM on June 10.
- Rhonda’s truck was found parked near her house with the driver’s door unlocked and the glove compartment open; registration and insurance card were missing.
- Searchers located Rhonda 420 yards into the timber beneath cut branches and logging slash; she was 23 years old and found covered deliberately.
- The medical examiner, Dr. Frank Abernathy, estimated time of death between 9:00 PM on June 10 and 2:00 AM on June 11 and ruled the cause as manual strangulation.
