Every man wants to believe he'll stand firm when his faith is tested. But the real question isn't what you'll do in church—it's what you'll do when standing for Christ could cost you something.
Maybe the pressure comes at work, where you're expected to stay silent about your beliefs. Maybe it's among friends who mock biblical values, or in conversations where speaking the truth feels risky. It's tempting to compromise, blend in, or convince yourself that silence is the wiser choice.
Frank Turek's story reminds us that convictions are only proven when they come with a cost. God never promised following Him would always be comfortable, but He does promise to be faithful to those who remain faithful to Him.
Ask yourself: What am I afraid of losing if I stand for biblical truth? Your reputation? Your opportunities? Your relationships? Your job? Whatever the cost, remember that your identity is not found in the approval of people but in your relationship with Christ.
Stand with humility, speak with love, and never compromise the truth God has entrusted to you. The world needs men whose character is stronger than their fear, whose faith is deeper than public opinion, and whose courage comes from knowing they answer first to God.
