  • SUNDAY SERMON | Because He Said So #2 | Teaching them to Obey All the Commands
    2025/10/19

🎙️ Because He Said So – Week 2

In this week’s message, Pastor Colton continues our Because He Said So series by focusing on the command found at the beginning of Matthew 28:20 — “teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Before we can teach others the commands of Christ, we must first know them for ourselves. Understanding what Jesus actually said—and what He didn’t—is essential for living out genuine faith. Colton reminds us that discipleship starts with learning, and that obedience flows from knowing God’s truth.

Throughout the message, we also look at a few popular phrases that sound biblical but aren’t truly found in Scripture. It’s a powerful reminder that our foundation must rest on God’s Word, not cultural sayings or half-truths.

Join us as we learn what Jesus really commanded, and discover how knowing His Word helps us teach, live, and lead faithfully—because He said so.

  • MIDWEEK | 1 Peter 1:23-25 “The Word is Alive and Abiding”
    2025/10/09

In this week’s midweek service, Pastor Colton Arbuckle leads us through 1 Peter 1:23–25, a powerful passage that reminds us of the eternal nature of God’s Word. Peter writes that we have been born again through the living and enduring Word of God — a Word that never fades, never fails, and never loses its power.

In this message, Colton explores what it means for the Word to be alive — not just ink on a page, but a living truth that still speaks, convicts, comforts, and transforms hearts today. He also points out how everything around us — the things we work for, the people we look up to, even the seasons of life — will eventually pass away. But God’s Word remains steady, unshaken by time or circumstance.

Whether you’re walking through uncertainty or simply need a reminder of what’s unchanging in a changing world, this teaching will encourage you to hold fast to the Word that endures forever.

  • CHURCH AT THE LAKE | Luke 18 “The Blind Man Healed”
    2025/09/21

This week’s podcast takes you to a special gathering: Church at the Lake 2025. Our church family came together outdoors for a day filled with worship, fellowship, food, and fun. With the water as our backdrop, we sang, prayed, and shared in a unique time of community.

Pastor Colton preached from Luke 18, where Jesus heals the blind man on the road to Jericho. In this encounter, Jesus stops, listens, and asks a deeply personal question: “What do you want me to do for you?” The message reminds us that Jesus is never too busy to hear us, and He still asks that same question of us today. Whether our need is healing, forgiveness, or guidance, He invites us to come to Him in faith.

It was a joyful day of worship and fellowship at the lake, and we’re excited to share the message with you.

  • MIDWEEK | 1 Peter 1:23 “Born Again?”
    2025/09/18

In this week’s midweek service, we opened our Bibles to 1 Peter 1:23 and began unpacking the first phrase of the verse: “being born again.” This short but powerful truth raises some of the most important questions anyone can ask: What does it mean to be born again? Why does the Bible emphasize this idea so strongly? And how does it change a person’s standing before God?

To help answer those questions, we also turned to John 3:3, where Jesus spoke to Nicodemus under the cover of night and declared, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” From that conversation, we see that being born again is not about self-improvement or religious effort, but about a radical new birth that only God can bring.

This message explores how the new birth is tied to the imperishable Word of God, why it is essential for becoming a citizen of heaven, and how it reshapes both our identity and our eternal future. Whether you’ve heard the phrase “born again” many times or you’re still curious about what it really means, this teaching will give you a deeper understanding of the hope and life found in Christ.

  • REVIVAL SERMON | 2 Corinthians 5:16-21 “The Baggage of Shame”
    2025/09/15

In this special revival service at Fairview Baptist Church, Pastor Colton opened God’s Word to 2 Corinthians 5:16-21. The message focused on shame—how dangerous it is to carry it on our own and how it keeps us from experiencing the fullness of God’s grace. Pastor Colton reminded us that in Christ, God has reconciled the world to Himself, no longer counting our sins against us. Instead of living under the weight of shame, we are called to live in the freedom and new identity that Jesus provides.

This powerful night of worship and preaching challenged us to lay down our burdens at the cross and embrace the calling to be ambassadors for Christ.
