“Be curious, not judgemental” is one of our favorite quotes from one of our favorite shows, Ted Lasso. In this episode, we chat about why we love Ted so much, and why this quote has honestly become a family mantra of ours. We are curious people by nature, and learning about new things and what makes people the way they are, is something that we have very much in common with one another. We discuss how this attitude has not only made us grown as individuals and be less judgy, but how it has shaped our relationship with each other and our kids having this philosophy.

We are back!!!

Kicking off 2025 with a lot of changes

• Lots of things are happening this year - a new admin, TikTok ban, a lot seems up in the air

• But the beginning of the year and our birthdays always gives us some self reflection

• Getting older

• Our kids are growing up

• We’re trying to decide what we want to do with our next chapters

We’ve started and restarted this podcast several times now

• The original was about being married and having small businesses

• Shifted to talk more about relationships and how we’re navigating getting older

• Always wanted to be a positive space - that stays

• Now we want to focus on so much more of our interests and be a place for laughter and community

Changing up the format

• We’re kinda all over the place

• So want to break down the pod into categories since we have such diverse interests and just bring you along for what we’re learning or adventures we have going forward.

It's our favorite season! Halloween is pretty much our favorite holiday as a family, and movies are our love language.

So what better way to kick off our movie review series than with some of our favorite scary movies? From family friendly PG rated, to rewatching old classics with our teens, here's our least and most favorite spooky season movies to watch. In this episode we also talk all things spooky season like our favorite memories growing up with haunted houses, and how we've celebrated with our kids over the years.

Welcome to the first episode of our brand new podcast! We’ve learned a lot about our podcasting journey over the past few years, and what we’re really good at. So let us reintroduce ourselves. We are Matt & Dynae, a couple of elder millennials just trying to navigate (gasp!) midlife. From how we manage a 20+ year relationship starting as high school sweethearts, parenting teens when we barely feel like adults ourselves, to the absolute crazy train that is life now. Come follow along as we do this thing with a relatable take on life, love, and relationships, always with a healthy dose of humor.

In this episode, we also introduce how we parent teens and how we've had to approach it entirely different than we did when our kids were younger.
