  • (Rewind) Building a While Travels With His Family Full Time In An RV- Richard Matthews
    2024/02/13

In January 2009, Richard found out he was going to be a dad. That day he committed to building a business that will give him the freedom to have lunch with his kids every day.

Now January of 2019, Richard, the father of three, has missed only a handful of lunches with his kids. He travels with his family full time in an RV. He is educating his children and showing them this great country, and living a life of freedom that few ever experience—at the same time, building and working on his business full-time.

  • what the NBA MVP taught me about failure
    2024/01/09

In last week's episode, I discussed Giannis Antetokounmpo's speech on failure after his team was knocked out of the playoffs. I shared what I learned from his speech and how it impacted me.

Additionally, I talked about how failure is often misunderstood in our society. It tends to have a negative impact on us, whereas we should consider it a fresh start and a step towards success. Instead of seeing failure as a defeat, we should look at it as an opportunity to take one more step forward in our journey towards achieving our goals.

In this episode, we discussed what Deirdre has been up to, how she was able to expand her business after the pandemic, and how she navigated her business through the pandemic. We also talked about her experience as a mother and entrepreneur.

Additionally, we discussed a few books that we found helpful, such as Atomic Habits by James Clear, The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork by John C. Maxwell, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni, and Tribal Leadership by David Logan.
