Joshua L. Wagoner, NHA, MHA, CDP is a Divisional Director at Aviata Health Group and the incoming President of the Florida Health Care Association.
Josh's connection to senior care started long before his career. Growing up around nursing homes through his family's involvement in long-term care, he eventually found his own calling in the profession after an early stint in the hospital sector. Today, he helps lead senior care operations across Florida while advocating for policies and investments that support residents, caregivers, and providers.
Throughout his career, Josh has remained passionate about the people at the heart of senior care—from residents and families to the frontline caregivers who make a difference every day. His leadership is focused on workforce development, quality improvement, and preparing the industry for the growing number of older adults who will rely on long-term care in the decades ahead.
We were glad to have him on the Tell Our Stories Podcast to discuss the "silver tsunami" facing America's senior care system, the workforce challenges and opportunities shaping the industry, and why he believes providers are strongest when they stand together with a shared commitment to quality care and advocacy.
