It is impossible to live for God without faith, because faith is the oxygen of the Christian life. Scripture tells us repeatedly that the just shall live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38). Furthermore, Romans 12:3 assures us that no believer lacks faith, for God has dealt to every person the measure of faith. However, not all faith produces results. There is a kind of faith that does not stagger at God’s Word—a strong faith that prevails.

An attitude of faith is essential to living in the victory Christ has secured for us. Faith determines whether we rise or fall, overcome or give in, remain strong or grow weary. To live victoriously, your mindset must be rooted in God’s Word and in what Jesus has already accomplished on your behalf. When faith governs your heart, the fruit of the recreated human spirit becomes evident in your life (Galatians 5:22–23).

Child of God, no matter how things may have unfolded up to this point, I have good news for you: you will end well. The enemy may have tried to knock you down, but here you are—still standing. That alone is proof of the grace of God at work in your life. Every trial, every challenge, and every seeming setback has been working together for your good. Bless Him for that! The Scripture says, “Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again” (Proverbs 24:16). Each time it looked like it was over, God’s grace lifted you up again. Hallelujah!

As the year draws to a close, God is calling us to demonstrate our faith and love for Him through giving. Giving is never about God trying to take something from us; it is always about Him positioning us to receive more. Scripture tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God, and giving is one of the clearest expressions of faith (Hebrews 11:6).

We are very familiar with expressing love through giving. We give gifts to our children because we love them. We bless our spouses, parents, neighbors, and colleagues as tangible expressions of our affection. Giving as an expression of love is natural to us—and it is not foreign to God. In fact, it began with Him.

Do you have anything to be thankful for? Of course you do. Take a moment and reflect on your life from the beginning of the year until now—surely, there is something for which you can thank God. And if you still find it difficult to identify one thing, here is an eternal reason for gratitude:

Colossians 2:13 declares, “You were dead because of your sins… Then God made you alive with Christ, for He forgave all our sins.”
If nothing else, that truth alone should move your heart to say, “Thank You, Jesus!”

Love is the hallmark of the Christian life. Scripture tells us in 1 John 4:8, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” Love is not only who God is—it is also what God does. Love is active. Love expresses itself. Love gives.

The blessing of God is expressed through generosity. Yesterday, we saw that the Lord Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35). God blesses us not just so we can enjoy His goodness, but so we can extend His love, His kindness, and His provision to those around us. You are God’s chosen vessel—His channel—for touching lives.
