The desire to know and follow God's perfect will is one of the deepest longings of a faithful heart. We are not left to wander aimlessly, as the Bible assures us that those who are truly the children of God are led by the Spirit. This divine leading is beautifully supported by an inward willingness to obey the Scriptures, finding joy in saying, "I delight to do your will, O my God." When we align our heart’s desire with the direction of the Holy Spirit and the truth of the Word, the path to God's purpose for our lives becomes wonderfully clear.

When David and his men returned to find their city burned and their families captured, they pursued the enemy and recovered everything. This passage tells the powerful story of a battle won by many, even those too weary to fight. David established a principle that those who stayed behind to guard the supplies would share equally in the spoils with those who went into the battle. This beautiful truth reminds us that in the work of God's kingdom, every person and every role is vital, and every faithful servant will receive the same reward from the Lord.

Every year we are honored to be able to send Tom and Sharon to the Czech Republic. They returned from the Czech Republic this past Monday, and here tonight Tom has a lot to share about what they encountered as they strengthened and encouraged the ministers of the faith in this European nation.

One of Jesus' most comforting promises to His disciples was the gift of the Holy Spirit, whom He called the Helper. This divine presence is not just a passing feeling, but a permanent, indwelling friend and guide who is with us forever. The world cannot receive the Spirit because it neither sees nor knows Him, but believers are given this amazing gift to illuminate truth and empower our lives. This Helper ensures that we are never alone, constantly teaching us and testifying to the presence of Jesus in our hearts.

We are called to enjoy the good that God has provided in this life, recognizing every blessing as a generous gift from His hand. The moment we place our faith in Him, the sentence that was against us is completely removed, forever. The powerful work of the Holy Spirit liberates us from the spiritual death grip of sin, setting us on a path of new life and freedom. This incredible peace is not something we earn through our efforts, but a gift that allows us to walk in the fullness of God's grace today.

The gift of discerning of spirits is a crucial spiritual ability given by God to protect and guide the church. It is the supernatural capacity to distinguish between the various spirits at work—whether they originate from God, from an evil or demonic source, or from the human spirit. This insight goes beyond mere human intuition or psychological analysis, acting as a spiritual radar to expose deception and validate truth. It ensures the purity of the message and ministry, safeguarding believers from false teaching and allowing the community to remain rightly focused on the Holy Spirit's guidance.
