About the Guest: When Ashley Thaba was just 12 years old, a life-changing youth retreat set her on her path. Challenged by a pastor who asked why so many wait for a "calling" when the Bible already commands believers to go and make disciples, Ashley left the retreat with a resolute heart. She wrote on a commitment card that she would one day go to Africa to share the gospel—unless God called her to stay and support missions from America. Though her mom was skeptical, Ashley felt deeply certain that God had a special purpose for her as a missionary in Africa. That moment of conviction as a twelve-year-old has defined her journey ever since
