Every six months, leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gather to share messages in general conference. This podcast consists of an in-depth look at each of these messages. In particular, the hosts identify the invitations that were extended by the speakers, and then discuss ways that listeners can become "doers of the word" and take action on these invitations. The hosts for this podcast are Mitch Peterson and Clay Soelberg, both of whom are active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.     Mitch and Clay were joined by Kristen Hoffman, a recent convert and mother of three boys, one of whom, John, was born with a condition so rare, only 2 other known cases exist in the world! Though limited, John's 9-year-life touched many people. When Elder Rasband posted on Instagram about his grandson Paxton's similar struggles and short mortal experience, Kristen and Elder Rasband shared a brief, but touching digital interaction. We invited Kristen to tell us more about John and her conversion story.

    This episode touches on Jesus, true friendship, teaching the gospel by who you are more than what you say, raising children with developmental challenges, resurrection, Joseph Smith's teaching on what'll happen after this life for young children who pass away prematurely, faith, and much more!

    Mitch and Clay were joined by Matt Polifka, who, unlike Elder Bednar, has no love/hate relationship with running. Matt has run 16 marathons and shares many analogies to the gospel that help us better understand Elder Bednar's teachings on enduring to the end and charity, the pure love of Christ.
