Carney announces a new gas tax cut and his liberals just got their majority — here's what's coming next for Canada.

Today Mark Carney announced he's suspending the federal excise tax on gas until Labour Day — saving Canadians 10 cents per litre at the pump.

But that's not the real story.

While Canadians celebrated 10 cents off their gas, the Liberals swept all three byelections and now hold 174 seats — a majority government they never won at the ballot box.

And last week at their national convention in Montreal, they gave us a glimpse of exactly what's coming.

They brought Patrick Pichette — a $250 million venture capitalist who made his fortune at Google and now lives in London — on stage to propose charging Canadian youth a $500,000 exit tax for wanting to leave Canada to work in the US. The same thing he did for free.

He also called for tripling Canada's immigration. This from a man who spoke at a Liberal convention while Canada's birth rate hits a record low of 1.25 — when you need 2.1 just to maintain your population.

And while Carney pushed Canada's separation from the US, his wife spoke about the New World Order.

The same government that has sent over $8.8 billion to Ukraine since Carney became PM and can't fix the cost of living for 40% of Canadians struggling financially now has the power to pass every bill they want — C-8, C-9, C-12, C-16, C-22, C-25 — without needing a single opposition vote.

This is just a glimpse of what's coming under the new Liberal majority.
