    On this episode of Full Warning, we feature our EXCLUSIVE podcast interview with 2025 NA Legacy Champion Tom Basketball (better known to us as Bryan Hockey). Wielding an ultra-powerful colorless deck that wins via insurmountable taxing effects alongside disruptive permanents and a combo-like finisher in the form of Glaring Fleshraker, Bryan was able navigate a massive field over 15 swiss rounds and an epic Top 8, to emerge as the 2025 Champion.


    Beating several former Champions along the way, we talk through Bryan's journey, not just at Eternal Weekend 2025, but back to his roots; when did Tom Basketball start turning cardboard sideways?

    From magic-league.com to Romancing the Stones, Bryan's journey mirror's many of our own--Except he knew Swords to Plowshares was good (he IS a Legacy player, after all).

    This episode also features the premiere of my "Movie Magic" game. Tom Basketball knows Legacy, but does he know his movies? We pit him against the B.C. Druid in a game I've been working on for a while but just didn't really have together until now. It's actually still coming together, but I hope you enjoy it and I welcome your feedback for future tuning! I look forward to hosting this game again, so I can clarify the rules and host it correctly. I have lots of clues in the can already.

    Our outro is my Eternal Weekend 2025 Hype Track, Babality-MixtapeEdit. I grabbed the base beat off of LNPlusmusic because of the very nice cuts on the track; I love a good turntablist routine. I really wanted to create a "Hip-Hop song with MtG elements", not a "MtG Hip-Hop Song Parody". I think I was pretty close to the mark. The vocals are rough bc I don't know how to fix them really; look out for some "real" songs from the two of us (B.C. Druid is the real musician) in 2026.

After some dark times following the restriction of Vexing Bauble and Urza's Saga , Fleshraker Shops seems to be back! Duane gives all due credit to the online innovator crK and other online players, who seem to have found a way forward for this deck, and Duane's commanding performance at The Land 6 tournament seems to have cemented that.And so the future seems to be a bit brighter this year, as we head into an NA Eternal Weekend 2025 that will not include any further scheduled changes to the Vintage B&R. We dig into everyone's reaction and discuss what we wanted to see vs. what we expected to see. If there were any possible storm clouds threatening this bright future, they might come in the form of a 3 generic mana Planeswalker named Tezzeret, Cruel Captain. As primarily paper players who participate only a few times a year, restriction action this close to Eternal Weekend has had a pretty big impact on the hype for the Vintage tournament, especially after our recent pre-restriction TSI. Que sera sera.After a brief discussion of our current magic doings, the online league hosted by Romancing the Stones, Angelo and I dig in to the new landscape of Vintage. We review Eternal Weekend Asia Vintage results, to see what has shifted. Mainly, I rant about what they should have done and when they should have done it. Anyway, it seems like THE CAT still rules the day, and we have no real suggestions for non-cat players, but we do explore some interesting options. And we get a bit emo about deck choices and the reality of playing Vintage only a few times a year.In the second segment, we generate engagement with a shocking reveal; I have been playing CEDH and now, No Banned List Commander. We chat about the recent EDH bans and their impact on Angelo's decks. If you came here for this, check the chapter markers to jump right to the Commander content you crave!     What time is it? Yangtime! Journey back with your hosts to a simpler time, when Vexing Bauble and Urza's Saga were played in multiples, *in one deck*!


    This episode took me a long time to edit, and not just because of the crazy ambient noise levels. This podcast is about a Vintage format that no longer exists, a lame duck format if you will. And so I found it was very unmotivating to edit this podcast, while looking forward to Eternal Weekend; the meta will discuss herein is gone.

    But we knew we owed to our dedicated fanbase (all 7 of them) to make sure that this show saw the light of day. WAFWHF and such. First we go deep with our guest Steven McGrew, and we learn about his magical background and his journey to Teams Seroius and Vintage.

    We review Vintage in a play-by-play format and opine on the current (old) state of Vintage, thinking at the time that we are praticing for Eternal Weekend. We review the food, the prize table and the "Retreat in the Woods", Kevin's amazing new home and location of the tournament. And of course, we don't forget the SWAG.
