In this episode, I dive into why tough times can feel so overwhelming, especially when we make things personal by judging ourselves or comparing our journey to others. I remind you that these struggles aren’t just about being a woman in business—they’re about being human and juggling all the roles life throws our way.
I introduce you to a powerful coaching tool called “the model,” created by Brooke Castillo of the Life Coach School. The conversation focused on showing how the model helps us separate neutral circumstances from the thoughts, feelings, actions, and results we generate—revealing that frustrations often stem from broken strategies, not personal shortcomings.
One concept discussed was how thoughts about a neutral circumstance—like business income, social media, or health—create emotional “charge” and shape the results we experience. I share an example using social media: from the neutral circumstance to common negative thoughts and feelings, the actions (or inactions) that follow, and the inevitable results.
A key theme that emerged was the importance of addressing mindset not just on a mental level, but also recognizing the somatic (body-based) experience attached to our thoughts and feelings. The discussion explored ways to start change with our feeling state and how shifting into a more resourceful state can be a catalyst for real transformation—far beyond just “thinking positive.”
Several points were raised, including the interconnectedness between our business mindset and our relationships, health, and overall joy in life. I share why using the model consistently not only breaks personal judgment and blame cycles but also invites us to take radical personal responsibility for our patterns and choices.
I also give you a glimpse of the practical techniques I teach my clients for shifting state, including NLP tools and coaching strategies for self-leadership, so you can manage your experience no matter what challenges arise.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in self-judgment or wondered how to break unhelpful patterns and start creating the results you truly want in both business and life, this episode is for you.
As always, thank you for joining me—remember, your business success is inevitable when you keep showing up, holding belief, and using the right tools.
