This week, Becky welcomes her very good friend and fellow #BergmanBuddies4Life, Dave Eves to Hanging with Becky for something surprisingly long overdue: their first podcast together devoted to a horror movie.

Becky originally discovered Dave through his horror conversations on the Wrong Reel podcast, but over the years the two ended up recording episode after episode together about Ingmar Bergman. Now, after a long podcasting hiatus for Dave, they finally get to bring their shared love of horror to the microphone with INSIDIOUS: OUT OF THE FURTHER.

Becky and Dave dig into the sixth installment of the Insidious franchise, what makes the original film so effective, the strange rules and dream logic of the Further, the new mythology surrounding Gemma's abilities, and why this sequel manages to expand the series without compromising what makes it work. They also get into the movie's most effective scares — including the claustrophobic pillow-fort sequence and a dental-hygienist scene so disgusting that Dave considers it a selling point.
