    Christ deserves all the praise for our victories, but don’t forget that He desires to take ALL of our burdens too! Ellicott’s Commentary says the words “labor” and “heavy laden” in Matthew 11:28, “arc wide enough to cover every form of human sin and sorrow.” (Emphasis added.)

  • A New Heart

    A New Heart

    We don’t have to be afraid to ask God to search our hearts and cleanse anything that doesn’t belong. Jesus said, “I am gentle and humble in heart…” (Matthew 11:29) God is gentle and desires for us to have a clean heart before Him. All we need to do is genuinely ask Him to take it away. Then… let it go! God Himself will not only cleanse us but also fill what’s missing with something better so we can live righteously.

    Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
