このコンテンツについて
At just 19 years old, Christopher “Life” Willars was sentenced to an unimaginable 144 years in prison for a BB-gun robbery where no one was harmed. What could have been the end of his story instead became the beginning of a powerful transformation.
Behind bars, Christopher chose a new path — dedicating himself to education, mentorship, and faith. He earned his barbering license, studied law and policy, and redefined what leadership meant. After his release, he co-founded the Lasting Layers of Beauty Institute, achieving a 100% graduation rate, and launched The Life Unit, a nonprofit helping justice-impacted individuals “stay free” and build brighter futures.
In this episode of Legally Exhausted, Abe Ovadia, Esq. sits down with Christopher to talk about his incredible journey from incarceration to inspiration, and how he’s now working to change lives and create second chances.
✨ What you’ll hear in this episode:
- The life-changing moment that shifted his mindset in prison
- How he turned education and faith into tools of transformation
- Building a school and nonprofit after release
- The mission behind The Life Unit and what “staying free” really means
