Mike Mitchell shares his testimony how he finally reached out to God from a prison cell to find that Jesus provides every need and fills every empty place in our souls.

Pamela Hobart had a difficult time when her son, who was suffering from mental health issues, was shot five times by a police officer called to help. She initially felt immense rage which was fuelled by her own beliefs about the situation. However, she eventually realised that everyone makes mistakes and she was able to forgive both herself and the involved police officer. God works in all of our lives, even in the most difficult of times, to make sure that good comes out. He desires for us to know the truth, so that we can understand Him and receive His grace. Through His protection and guidance, He will carry our burdens and bring us out of the darkness into light.

Joe was sentenced to two life sentences for an illegal action, and following 15 years with the help of God he was set free. His family had faith that he would make it out, and the realization of his freedom only occurred when he heard it from a fellow inmate. As part of his journey out of prison, Joe joined a prison ministry, worked hard and became dedicated to getting out. Realising the power of faith and belief, he noted that it can take us to places we never thought possible. Taking charge of our lives and claiming our destiny with words is instrumental in achieving whatever we desire. Additionally, learning from different people and having an open mind can be beneficial in many unexpected ways. With the Lord’s help, Joe obtained his freedom and believes that through faith and trust in God, we are able to experience life differently.

God can bring restoration to any difficult situation in life. Through Jesus Christ, anyone can be liberated from bondage and experience true freedom by allowing God to increase in power, and diminish our own will. God can manage any crisis, no matter how insurmountable it may seem and bring order and hope into our lives. With faith in God, we can move past any obstacle and find true freedom, no matter what life throws at us.

Having reached the pinnacle of success in the business world at an early age, Stephen found himself bored, restless and empty. Searching in all the wrong places for something to fill the hole in his soul soon led to addictions of every kind, depravity, unemployment and eventually homelessness. His sin landed him in prison late in life, but he finally cried out to God. His story of God’s forgiveness and redemption has given hope to prisoners all across the United States.

The ripple effect of 18 years on meth was devastating to Jennifer. Being a parent and being in prison was one of the hardest things Jennifer would face. Along with depression, loneliness and isolation.

Freedom in Jesus Prison Ministries never gave up on Jennifer, even when she was released and falling back into her old ways. Eventually, Jennifer surrendered completely to God’s saving grace and now Jennifer is going into prisons to tell her story of hope and restoration.

Although he grew up in church, Anthony found himself working the street selling drugs at an early age. In and out of jail and prison, Anthony missed a lot of his kids growing up.

Finally, at a Freedom in Jesus Ministry crusade in the Jordan Unit located in Pampa, TX, Anthony surrendered his life to Christ. With the support of FIJM and his family, Anthony has started a new life after being released in 2017.
