The NFL has officially ruled on the Bears’ compensatory pick situation following the Falcons’ hiring of Ian Cunningham as general manager—and Chicago is getting nothing. No picks. No relief. With the league declaring the case closed, we break down why the Bears were once again left empty‑handed and what it says about how the NFL handles these decisions.

We also revisit the Arlington Heights property the Bears still own—three years later, still sitting empty—while millions have already been spent on taxes for land that remains unused. What exactly is the plan, and how long are fans expected to wait while progress stalls?

NFL.com insider Eric Edholm weighed in on who the Bears should select with their first two draft picks, and we dig into whether his vision actually aligns with where this roster—and franchise—needs to go. Plus, Browns head coach Todd Monken skipped the annual coaches photo, and the reasoning behind it is almost hard to believe.

Another busy, revealing week around the Bears—and plenty for fans to react to.

  • The Chicago Bears want their draft picks for Ian Cunningham

After the NFL informed the Chicago Bears that they would not receive any compensatory draft picks following the Atlanta Falcons’ hiring of Ian Cunningham as general manager, the Bears have once again appealed to the league office for the picks they believe they deserve. A decision from Commissioner Roger Goodell is expected soon.

Bears chairman George McCaskey met with the media yesterday and addressed questions surrounding a potential new stadium deal, with Arlington Heights and Hammond, Indiana, both remaining possibilities. McCaskey said the McCaskey family would take on all the financial risk of a new stadium, noting they would need to borrow the approximately $2 billion they have said they are willing to contribute to the project.

Around the NFL, Kirk Cousins has a new home, signing with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Looking ahead to the draft, NFL.com’s Nick Shook has the Bears selecting Alabama offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor with the 25th pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

And finally, Kyle Brandt shared his commentary on the recently released NFL coaches photo, and it was nothing short of hysterical.

  • Ben Johnson - "uncertainty" at left tackle | What's wrong with Kevin O'Connell? New Mock Drafts
    2026/03/30

    10:22 AJ Brown

    13:50 Minnesota Vikings

    25:45 Mock Drafts

At the NFL league meetings, NFC coaches gathered for their annual breakfast, where Ben Johnson addressed two key areas of concern for the Bears: dropped passes by the wide receivers and ongoing uncertainty at left tackle. With the NFL Draft just weeks away, all eyes are on how Chicago plans to address those needs.

One thing feels clear—the Bears are in a better place than several NFC rivals. They’re not dealing with off‑field or locker‑room issues like the Rams with Puka Nacua, the Eagles and A.J. Brown, or the Vikings’ unsettled quarterback room. We react to what Kevin O’Connell had to say about Minnesota’s QB situation—and why his comments didn’t inspire much confidence.

Plus, new mock drafts are out, and we take a look at what experts are projecting for the Bears and how those picks could shape the future of the roster.
