After the NFL informed the Chicago Bears that they would not receive any compensatory draft picks following the Atlanta Falcons’ hiring of Ian Cunningham as general manager, the Bears have once again appealed to the league office for the picks they believe they deserve. Bears chairman George McCaskey met with the media yesterday and addressed questions surrounding a potential new stadium deal, with Arlington Heights and Hammond, Indiana, both remaining possibilities. McCaskey said the McCaskey family would take on all the financial risk of a new stadium, noting they would need to borrow the approximately $2 billion they have said they are willing to contribute to the project.
