このコンテンツについて
Today, I talked with Marne Sullivan! Marne is a former collegiate runner who competed in track and cross country for both BC and USC! She graduated from Boston College in 2023 with a degree in Communications and Marketing. By chronicling her journey with a cochlear implant and discussing topics like accessibility and mindset, she has built an incredible community and become a powerful voice for change. Marne was honored with the National Inspirer Award from the Cochlear Foundation and the Malala Fund, received the 2023 Golden Eagles Inspiration Award, and was recognized for Boston College's Interruption Award for the female athlete who best embodies the characteristics of being a BC Eagle. She also earned the Mel Hein Award and the Coach's Award for USC Track & Field.
In our conversation, we explored accessibility in college athletics, her path to sharing her story, and ways to support loved ones who are deaf. We also discussed the importance of self-love and self-care as an athlete—two essential but often overlooked topics. I loved this conversation, and I know you will, too!
