  • What Denomination is Best? | For Jesus Generation
    2025/11/21

In this video, we discuss unity within the Body of Christ. I was raised Seventh Day Adventist, and my family tried out a variety of "denominations," and we ultimately landed on being "non-denominational."

We just read the Bible and do what it says!

***Jesus wants us to be united in Him. But I urge you, believers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in complete agreement in what you say, and that there be no divisions or factions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your way of thinking and in your judgment [about matters of the faith].

1 Corinthians 1:10 AMP “I do not pray for these alone [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for [all] those who [will ever] believe and trust in Me through their message, 21that they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me. John 17:20 21 AMP

  • Ex Jehovah Witness left religious cult for Jesus|For Jesus Generation
    2025/11/13

On this BONUS episode Heather Mitchell, author of "Rooted and Restored: My Story for His Glory," shares her story of leaving the Jehovah's Witness cult and finding a genuine relationship with Jesus. Join us as we unpack what a cult is, what religion is, and what a relationship with Jesus looks like. You can find Heather on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube at @rootedandrestored.fhg. Religious Cult: A cult is often defined as a group with unusual or extreme religious, philosophical, or spiritual beliefs that deviates sharply from established traditions, usually characterized by a charismatic leader, a high degree of control over members, and manipulative recruitment tactics The term is also used more neutrally to describe any group with a particular set of beliefs and rituals Still, it frequently carries a negative connotation, implying isolation, social deviance, and a denial of mainstream religious tenets. *Key characteristics Unusual beliefs: May have doctrines that are considered extreme, unorthodox, or deviant from those of larger, more accepted religions. Charismatic leader: Often dominated by a single, influential leader who may demand absolute loyalty and be seen as a messianic figure. High control and manipulation: Members may be subjected to psychological manipulation, isolation from outside contacts (including family), and high-pressure recruitment. Total commitment: Demands a comprehensive and often total commitment from its followers, sometimes requiring them to cut ties with their former life, work for little to no pay, and give large sums of money. Authoritarian structure: Typically characterized by an authoritarian structure, with secrecy, hostility towards non-members, and a strong emphasis on conformity; questioning is discouraged. Isolation: This promotes a sense of detachment from the outside world, which can make it difficult for members to seek help or leave the group. -Google

  • Abide In Jesus|For Jesus Generation
    2025/11/12

This is a video about Abiding in Jesus. John 15 00:00 Abiding in Jesus The Hebrew words for "abide" often depend on context, with common translations including שָׁכַן (\(shakhan\)) and יָשַׁב (\(yashav\)). \(Shakhan\) means to dwell or reside, often referring to God's dwelling place, while \(yashav\) means to sit, dwell, or remain, emphasizing permanence and stability. (\(shakhan\)): To dwell, settle down, or reside. This is frequently used to describe God dwelling among His people. Example: Deuteronomy 12:11 states that the Tabernacle will be the place where the LORD your God chooses to make His name abide (\(shakhan\)). (\(yashav\)): To sit, dwell, or remain. This term is often used to express stability and endurance.

Example: Psalm 125:1 describes those who trust in the LORD as being like Mount Zion, which "cannot be moved but abides forever". -Google

  • What Salvation is and What Salvation is Not|For Jesus Generation
    2025/11/11

This video explores what Salvation is and what it is not. Read John 10. Grab a Bible and follow along! If you all want prayer after this episode, find me on Instagram (forjesusgen) or Facebook (Heather Marie)

Salvation is the act of being rescued from sin and eternal separation from God (hell), made possible by Jesus's death and resurrection (John 14:6). This is the only religion in which people are saved by grace alone (Ephesians 2:8); every other religion is about people trying to reach Salvation and heaven on their own.

To be saved, one must repent from their sin (Acts 3:19), which involves a commitment to turn away from sin and their own life and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior over every area of their life, and have the Holy Spirit fill them (John 3:3) and make them a new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17)

  • Why Share the Gospel?
    2025/10/29

Why Share the Gospel? This first episode discusses why we need to share Jesus with everyone from a Biblical standpoint and a bit of my story as growing up in church but not being saved. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit https://www.bible.com/bible/1588/mat.28.19
