Part 1 of Taj Mahal at Ebbets Field February 4-8 1976. Harry, please correct me if I am wrong. Prior to the concert I open with a song from a show that I am working on called "New Shoes." It is a chronicle of life along Highway 50 in Colorado with stories from 1926 through 1956. The Highway was an early Roadhouse and Front Porch region where Folk and Blues crossed with Country Swing and Sweet Jazz with a Sunday Best of Gospel Harmony. With Sound Century we are collecting the sounds and the scores of that era. In Lamar we are opening our Sound Century Academy of Recording Arts and Broadcast Journalism and we are recording traditional, original, public domain and songs that go back to Highway 50 when it was The Rainbow Trail, The Midland Trail and the Loving Goodnight Trail. Legends953.com in Denver and the app will be airing Folk Heroes for 8 weeks on Saturday at 5PM. Legends953 FM and 810 AM.
In cooperation with Sound Century Academy, the University of Colorado and The Harry Tuft Collection.
