  • Lasting Fruit | New Life | Pr Mark Daniel
    2026/07/14

Jesus said apart from Him, we can do nothing, but abiding in Him means bearing much fruit. In this message from John 15, we look at what it really means to stop striving and start abiding: trusting God as the source instead of trying to generate breakthrough, peace, and fruit on our own.

This week continues our series through the Gospel of John, where Pr Mark unpacks Jesus' words to His disciples in the upper room, hours before the cross. The message walks through three things: Jesus as the true vine and source of everything we need, the Father as the gardener who prunes us not to punish but to prepare us for more fruit, and the fruit that results, both the internal fruit of character and the external fruit of changed lives around us.

    📖 Scripture Reference: John 15:1-8, 16

  • God’s Blueprint | New Life | Pr Mark Daniel
    2026/07/08

Jesus told His disciples He was leaving, but He wasn't leaving them alone. In this message from John 14, we unpack the blueprint Jesus gave for facing an uncertain future: a love relationship with God, obedience that flows from that love, and the power of the Holy Spirit as our Helper and Advocate.

This week continues our series through the Gospel of John, where Pastor Mark Daniel shows that the foundation of the Christian life isn't performance or willpower, it's trusting that God truly loves you. When obedience feels like a struggle, it usually points to a love problem, not a discipline problem. And we're never asked to do any of it alone: the Holy Spirit (the Paraclete, meaning "called alongside") is with us in every situation.

    Scripture Reference: John 14

  • Fire Your Mapmaker | New Life | Pr Andrew Daniel
    2026/06/30

Life can feel confusing when our plans fall apart, when we do not know what comes next, or when we feel lost in the middle of uncertainty. But in John 14, Jesus reminds His disciples, and us, not to let our hearts be troubled. He does not simply give us a map. He gives us Himself.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He prepares a place for us, leads us through every season, and calls us to trust Him even when life feels shaky. Instead of living by fear, feelings, or the need to control every step, we are invited to follow Jesus closely and pray bold prayers that advance the Kingdom of God.

Whether you are walking through confusion, pain, transition, or a season where you need direction, this message will remind you that Jesus has already made a way.

    Scripture: John 14:1-14

  • Love to the End | New Life | Pr Vinny Costa
    2026/06/22

In this Father’s Day message, “Love to the End,” we continue our journey through the Gospel of John by looking at John 13:1–17, where Jesus washes His disciples’ feet during the Last Supper. In one of the most powerful moments before the cross, Jesus reveals the kind of love the Father has for us: a love that is not based on performance, chooses the lowest place, stays open even when wounded, transforms us, and gives itself away.

Through the stories of Judas and Peter, we see the difference between running from Jesus and running back to Him. Even in failure, shame, betrayal, and brokenness, the love of Christ remains faithful. His love does not simply accept us where we are; it restores us, changes us, and calls us into a new beginning.

Whether you are a father, mother, spouse, young person, or someone in need of restoration, this message is a reminder that there is no better life without Jesus. The Father’s arms are open, forgiveness is available, and His love endures to the end.

  • Understanding God’s Delays | New Life | Pr Mark Daniel
    2026/06/18

In this message we continue our journey through the Gospel of John with a powerful look at John 11 and the story of Lazarus. Through Mary, Martha, Lazarus, and Jesus, we are reminded that waiting on God is not passive. Waiting is active trust.

When Jesus delayed coming to Lazarus, it may have looked like neglect, but it was actually part of a greater purpose. God’s delays are not denials. In the waiting, He builds our faith, strengthens our trust, removes what holds us back, and prepares us to see His glory in a greater way.

If you are waiting on a breakthrough, praying for a loved one, believing for healing, or trusting God in a difficult season, this message will encourage you to hold on to Jesus. He is faithful, He is present, and He is the resurrection and the life.

At Focal Point Church, we believe God is taking ordinary people and making extraordinary difference-makers through faith and community.

  • Two Voices - Knowing the Voice of God | New Life | Pr Mark Daniel
    2026/06/10

In this message we dive into John 10:1–21 and the words of Jesus: “I am the Good Shepherd.” Pastor Mark teaches how to recognize the difference between the voice of the Good Shepherd and the voice of the enemy.

Every day, we are listening to voices that shape our thoughts, emotions, decisions, and direction. Jesus came to bring life and life abundantly, but the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. In this sermon, you will learn how God’s voice brings peace, hope, faith, encouragement, correction, identity, and life, while the enemy’s voice brings fear, condemnation, insecurity, discouragement, and defeat.

If you have been battling negative thoughts, anxiety, fear, shame, or spiritual confusion, this message will encourage you to tune your heart to the voice of Jesus, trust His Word, and walk in the life He came to give.

What do you do when life feels overwhelming and you don’t know how to move forward? In this message from John 6, we look at how Jesus reveals Himself as our Provider, Protector, and Sustainer.

Through the feeding of the 5,000, Jesus walking on water, and His declaration that He is the Bread of Life, we are reminded that faith is not about striving harder, looking for another sign, or trying to control every outcome. The work of God is to believe in the One He has sent.

When storms come, Jesus calls us to calm our hearts, fix our eyes on Him, and trust that He is more than enough. He is our source of wisdom, strength, peace, hope, and life.

If you are carrying burdens, battling fear, discouragement, uncertainty, or weariness, this sermon will encourage you to lay it down before Jesus and trust Him to lead you through.

  • Leaving It in the Water | Pr Andrew Daniel
    2026/05/28

What does baptism really mean, and why is it such an important step for every follower of Jesus?

In this message from our New Life series, we look at John 1 and the moment John the Baptist declares, “Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” This message reminds us that Jesus offers us new life through a covenant relationship with Him. Baptism is not just a religious ritual. It is a public declaration of an inward decision: the old life is gone, and a new life in Christ has begun.

Through Scripture, we learn that baptism represents dying to sin, leaving behind shame, guilt, and the old way of living, and rising into the new life Jesus gives us. Just like a wedding ceremony publicly declares a covenant, baptism publicly declares our devotion, allegiance, and surrender to Jesus.

Whether you are preparing to be baptized, considering being baptized again as a recommitment, or feeling God calling you to step across the line of faith, this message is an invitation to let go of the old and receive the new life found in Christ.
