What does Jesus actually offer us? Is the Christian life mainly about believing the right things and doing the right things—or is it about something deeper?
In this message, Scott explores Jesus' vision of the flourishing life through the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13). Rather than offering an instruction manual, Jesus plants the seed of God's own life within us. But why doesn't that seed always bear fruit?
Looking at the different soils in the parable, this sermon explores three common barriers to spiritual growth: hearts that never let God's word take root, lives without depth, and hearts crowded by anxiety and the pursuit of more. Above all, we're reminded that Jesus is not only the Sower but also the Gardener, patiently cultivating our lives into something fruitful.
