Do you have dreams you still long to pursue—but wonder if your body, energy, or circumstances can support them?

Has fatigue, brain fog, or the weight of responsibility made your world feel smaller—or slower—than you expected?

Maybe you long to keep learning, creating, serving, and using your gifts… but your energy just isn’t what it used to be.

And deep down, you’re wondering:

Can I really follow through?

Can I keep going?

Can God still do something beautiful through me—even with these limitations?

If so, you’re not alone. And I’m so glad you’re here.

Flourish with Chronic Illness is a podcast for Christian women whose desire to live a fruitful, God-led life is still strong… even if their pace has changed.

Here, through biblical wisdom, insights from art and history, and Enneagram-informed coaching, you'll learn how to:

  • build Scripture-rooted sustainable rhythms that fit the realities of your day-to-day life
  • overcome the discouragement and self-doubt that often accompany chronic illness
  • discern God's direction and move forward with confidence
  • reconnect with beauty and the gifts God has given you—even if life looks different than before

Hi, I'm Melodie—a Jesus-loving wife and a coach for Christian women seeking to flourish within their capacity so they can keep pursuing what God has entrusted to them.

For years, I lived in a constant cycle of pushing and crashing—trying to keep up with the life I used to have while navigating chronic illness, fatigue, and disappointment.

I kept thinking, If I could just try harder… be more disciplined… get back to who I was… things would finally work again.

But instead, I ended up more exhausted—and more discouraged.

Eventually, I realized something had to change.

I didn't need to get my old life back.

I needed to learn how to live this life—the one God had given me now.

So I began to slow down.

I started building rhythms that honored my limitations, drawing insights from Scripture, art history, and the wisdom of the Enneagram to better understand how God uniquely wired me.

And as I did, something surprising happened.

My clarity returned.

My creativity came back.

And my confidence in the Lord’s leading grew stronger than it had been in years.

I discovered flourishing isn’t about having the strength to do more, but being faithful with whatever strength God gives me each day.

And this podcast is where I share what I've learned—and what I'm still learning—about pursuing God-given dreams without burning out.

So if you're ready to stop second-guessing your dreams… to slow down without feeling like you're falling behind… and to move forward with quiet courage into whatever God has for you next—

Pour yourself a fresh cuppa, grab your Bible and your notebook…and settle in.

Together, we’ll learn to flourish with chronic illness—one faithful step at a time.

Do you ever worry whether your fatigue, brain fog, or mental overload has made it harder to hear God clearly?

In this episode of Flourish with Chronic Illness, I share one creative way to use what you know about your Enneagram type to make space to hear God—even when you’re tired.

Because God created you uniquely, understanding how you’re wired can help you recognize the ways that may make it easier for you to listen for His voice.

In this episode, we’ll look at one practical next step for Enneagram Types 8, 9, 1, and 2.

You’ll discover how to create a more personal rhythm of listening for God that works with the way you’re wired rather than adding one more thing to your already-full life.

And if you’re a Type 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7, don’t worry—I haven’t forgotten you! We’ll continue this conversation in the next episode with your creative next step for hearing God clearly, too.
