Let's keep good pets in good homes and include your pets in the preparation, get them used to the sounds of new toys, musical players, download baby cries and help make this a positive learning experience so it's not a total shock to your pets' environment.

Wendie also goes through schedules, training, having a safe place for your animal to call its own and making this a positive and calm change. Work with them if they've clung to you like glue and you've treated them as your "baby" up until now! Learn their mannerisms and expressions of stress and NEVER inhibit a growl.

Well, ok, that sounds extreme, but that really is the end goal here. Too many animals are still suffering from squalid conditions, abuse, mismanagement and greedy breeding practices (see puppy mills) and as a so called animal loving society, why are we all letting this continue?

Instead of continuing old methods and practices as that's what we've been used to or doing for decades, nay, centuries and passed off as "tradition", it's time to step up and change.

We need tougher laws, but also to get the voices for the animals heard LOUDER, with our help and make and allow change to happen... if we all do better, THEY do better too!

Wendie also calls for anyone with help in order to do this to reach out as she admits, she doesn't have the answers but knows that if more people stopped hiding from harsh truths, a lot more animals could live happier, healthier lives.
