Welcome back, friend. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. You know, it's Monday morning, and I'm willing to bet your inbox is already crowding your brain like uninvited guests at a potluck. Your attention feels like it's being pulled in seventeen directions at once. Maybe you haven't even started your real work yet, but you're already exhausted. Sound familiar? Well, that's exactly why we're together right now. Let's find your focus again. So go ahead and get comfortable wherever you are. Sit up tall, but not rigid, like you're a tree with roots but also branches that sway. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears. Good. Now, let's start with something simple. Breathe in through your nose for a count of four, hold it for four, and out through your mouth for four. Do that three times with me. In, two, three, four. Hold. Out, two, three, four. Again. And once more. Notice how your nervous system just shifted a little? That's us turning down the volume on the noise. Now here's what we're going to do. I want you to imagine your mind like a browser with way too many tabs open. Don't judge it. That's just what's happening right now. But what if we could close some tabs? Not forever, just for this moment. As you breathe naturally now, I want you to pick one thing. Just one. Maybe it's the report due at noon, or that presentation, or finally finishing that project that's been haunting you. Picture it like placing it on a clear desk in front of you. Everything else? Those tabs? They go to the background. They're still there, but they're not running your RAM right now. With each exhale, imagine you're clearing away the static. You're pressing reset on your focus. Feel your feet grounded. Feel your spine supporting you. You're not going anywhere. You're here. You're capable. And when your mind wanders, which it will, that's not failure. That's just your mind doing its job. Gently bring it back to that one thing on your desk. Again and again. That's the practice. When you're ready, take one more deep breath and open your eyes. That clarity you're feeling right now? Carry it with you. Before you dive into your day, write down that one thing. Just one. That's your north star for the next few hours. Thank you so much for joining me today on Productivity and Focus. If this helped you find your center, please subscribe so we can practice together again tomorrow. You've got this.
