  • #56 Friend, we need to talk!
    2024/05/14
Hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, weight redistribution. These are just a few of the oh so not fun symptoms that we as women go through during our midlife, in both perimenopause and menopause. I talk about this conversation quite a bit for two main reasons, number one, I'm in menopause. I am officially post-menopausal so it's very relevant and very important to me. The second reason I talk about this,(a good bit) is because quite frankly it's not talked about enough!

  • Ep. 52 Announcements!!!
    2024/03/19
Welcome my friend! Today’s episode is debuting on Tuesday March 19th which means we are only 2 days away from my birthday!! Well, not my actual birthday rather my podcasts’ birthday. March 21st marks the one year birth of FHH and I could not be happier that I made it! I told myself a year ago that I would do this podcast for a minimum of one year and then decide from there if I would continue or not. With that said, I have a few announcements one of which regards my decision, but you will have to wait until the end to find out more.

  • Ep 51 Uncomfortable Yet?
    2024/03/12
"When you go out of your way to experience new things, or when you let new things happen to you, your body creates brand new neural pathways that fuel your creative spark and enhance your memory. In one study, researchers tested the memory of participants by showing them images which were rated as novel, familiar, and very familiar. The best results came when people were shown a novel image, followed by a familiar one. So, while repetition helps with memory, mixing in new information is important as well." Forbes Magazine

    2024/03/05
"Giving alms has always been an important part of Lent. For many people, it means giving money to Catholic charities or some other good cause. But the concept of almsgiving goes much deeper. It is our response to the teachings of Jesus that encourage us to reach out to people in need—not just with our money—but with our time and our talents. Today we might call it ‘stewardship" Simply Catholic
