  • Built in the Trenches: Faith, Family & Football with Paul Horne
    2026/04/03

This week on Everybody Loves Naples, we sit down with "coach" Paul Horne — known to many as The Trench Doctor — for a conversation that goes far beyond football.

With nearly three decades at Naples High School, Paul has helped build one of the most respected football programs in the state, developing a true championship culture rooted in discipline, accountability, and consistency. But behind the wins and titles is something deeper.

Paul is a man of faith, a father of five, and comes from a proud Army family — all of which shape the way he leads on and off the field. From his days as an offensive lineman to helping lead Naples High to championship success, his philosophy has remained the same: the standard never changes — whether you’re on the field, in the classroom, or at home.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • What it really takes to build champions — in sports and in life
    • How faith shapes his leadership, family, and decision-making
    • The reality of raising five kids in Naples while leading at a high level
    • The discipline and mindset behind building a winning culture
    • His perspective on Naples, community, and staying rooted where it matters most
    • And a few of his favorite local spots that make Naples feel like home

We also dive into the personal side of Paul, including Natalie’s connection to his family, giving this conversation an added layer of authenticity and heart.

This is an episode about standards, legacy, and living a life built with intention — in the trenches and beyond.

🎧 Tune in for a powerful conversation on what it truly means to lead.

  • CEREMONY BREWING | Zach Smith
    2025/12/05

This week we’re heading up Old 41 into the heart of downtown Bonita Springs to sit down with Zach Smith, the owner and founder of Ceremony Brewing. Ceremony has become one of the most defining additions to the revitalized Old 41 corridor — a district now buzzing with local businesses, walkable streets, creative energy, and a renewed sense of community.

Zach, a Naples native with deep hospitality roots, moved to Bonita Springs more than a decade ago and immediately connected with its authentic, blue-collar, neighbor-driven vibe. What began as a home-brewing obsession and years spent immersed in brewing culture eventually led him to chase his dream of creating a place where quality, creativity, and community all came together under one roof.

In 2021, Ceremony Brewing officially opened its doors — part taproom, part kitchen, part bottle shop — and quickly established itself as one of Southwest Florida’s most intentional and artistic breweries. With more than 85 unique beers crafted since opening, Zach and his team have become especially known for imaginative sours, experimental brews, and collaborations that highlight other local makers. The vibe inside is warm, eclectic, and inclusive: leather couches, rotating artwork, a killer playlist, and a “come as you are” atmosphere that encourages people to stay awhile.

Ceremony isn’t just about beer — it’s become a true cultural hub. The brewery hosts everything from emo nights and drag brunches to specialty tastings with local roasters and vendors. Recently, Ceremony made headlines again by announcing a full renovation and expansion — including a new paved front patio, an upgraded turf area, added parking, refreshed interiors, and improved outdoor hangout space. They’ll be temporarily closing for November to complete the transformation, marking the next big chapter in their continued growth.

Our conversation with Zach dives into the long road to launching the brewery, the realities of building a business in a smaller downtown district, and what fuels his commitment to keeping Ceremony rooted in authenticity and craft. We also explore the incredible momentum happening along Old 41, where new restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, and creative businesses are helping shape one of Southwest Florida’s most exciting up-and-coming downtowns.

If you love stories about vision, grit, local pride, and creating meaningful spaces where people genuinely want to gather — this episode is for you.
