Estatus epiléptico: cuando apagar la crisis no basta.

Un paciente convulsiona. El equipo espera una orden. La benzodiacepina está lista. Pero la pregunta incómoda es otra: ¿estás frente al problema completo o solo frente a la alarma?

En este episodio llevamos el estatus epiléptico al terreno real de la urgencia y la UCI: qué hacer en los primeros minutos, cuándo tratar sin titubear, por qué las medias dosis dañan, cuándo escalar y por qué un paciente quieto puede seguir convulsionando en el EEG. La idea central: apagar la crisis es urgente; encontrar qué la encendió puede ser lo que salve al paciente.
