  • 56 The Bibles Got Buts — And There's One With Your Name On It
    2026/07/13

When life hands you a diagnosis, a betrayal, or a season that feels like it's swallowing you whole — the Bible has a word for that moment. Two letters. One powerful pivot. But God.

This episode unpacks how scripture uses the word "but" to interrupt pain, redeem broken stories, and breathe resurrection power into the hardest chapters of our lives.

We dig into some of the most powerful "but God" moments across scripture — from Joseph declaring "you intended to harm me, but God intended it for good" (Genesis 50:20), to Paul's reminder in Ephesians 2:4-5 that God, rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ. We also walk through Psalm 73:26, where the psalmist openly admits his heart may fail — and then anchors everything in who God is instead. And of course, we land on the greatest "but" in all of history: the resurrection in Matthew 28, when what looked like an ending became the most glorious beginning.

Here's what we explore together in this episode:

    - Why the "but" in scripture changes everything — and what it meant differently in the Old vs. New Testament

    - How Joseph's story teaches us not to stop reading our sentence too soon

    - What Lot's wife shows us about the danger of looking back and staying stuck

    - Why the comma matters — because a pause is where God has room to show up

    - How to practically apply a "but God" mindset through the holy exchange

    - The resurrection as the ultimate model of what God does after the darkest moments

If you're in a "but" moment right now — in the middle of the pain, the waiting, the uncertainty — this episode is for you. Your chapter isn't over. The comma is coming.

This week's challenge: identify the sentence you're currently living in. Maybe it sounds like "I feel forgotten" or "I don't see a way forward." Now add the comma. But God. Not as wishful thinking — as a declaration of who God has always been.

Because faith doesn't ignore the facts. Faith remembers that God is bigger than the facts.

  • 55² When the Corners Don't Fit — Are Your Friends Blocking Your Breakthrough? | Overflow Episode
    2026/07/08

Christian encouragement for women navigating friendship transitions — when God shifts your people, it can feel disorienting. But what if that shift is actually His gift?

Watch full video version here: https://youtu.be/TsDxc5AGeFI

In this overflow conversation, we're unpacking what it looks like when God begins to transition the people in our lives — and why choosing to align with that movement is one of the most powerful acts of faith we can take. We talk about what it means to truly repent for the hidden things: the fear, the bitterness, the co-dependency that keeps us clinging to relationships that no longer carry us forward. Because freedom doesn't come from perfect behavior — it comes from the secret place.

We also revisit a question we love asking: is there room at the table for you and Jesus? If the person you're holding onto won't make room for what God is speaking over your life, that answer tells you everything.

    Key takeaways from this episode:
    — God has your people already lined up. The question is whether we're willing to let go of the safe four corners that are blocking them.
    — The number one relationship in our life must be with God. When that corner is solid, we begin to recognize the healthy people He's sending us.
    — Repentance isn't about outward behavior. It's about uprooting what's deep inside — the jealousy, the fear, the need for approval — so there's room for His goodness.
    — We are built for community. But if we choose comfort over alignment, we miss the beautiful gift of the people God has waiting.

We believe in walking through transitions with faith, not fear. If this spoke to your heart, share it with a sister who needs to hear it today.

  • 55 When the Corners Don't Fit — Are Your Friends Blocking Your Breakthrough?
    2026/07/06

Is your inner circle pulling you toward healing — or quietly holding you back? If you've felt that check in your spirit about who's carrying your mat, this episode is for you.

Watch full video version here: https://youtu.be/CUoFP79JO2Y

In Part 2 of our "Mat People" mini series, we're having the harder conversation. Inspired by Mark 2 and the story of the paralyzed man lowered through the roof, we dig into what happens when the people holding the corners of your mat aren't actually carrying you toward Jesus. We're talking about the courage it takes to reevaluate your circle, recognize seasonal friendships, release guilt and false obligation, and trust God to shift who surrounds you — even when it's painful.

Because here's the truth: you cannot get to the roof if your mat people are afraid to climb.

In this episode, we walk through the signs that corners are fraying — when conversations slow down, encouragement disappears, and you find yourself clinging to history instead of the present reality. We talk about the difference between peacemaking and peacekeeping, why unhealthy dependency blocks God's voice, and what a "holy exchange" really looks like. We also get honest about the guilt that keeps us stuck, the 99% truth the enemy twists against us, and why releasing someone well — without gossip or murmuring — matters just as much as the release itself.

If you've been exhausted from trying to keep everyone happy, waking up anxious about a friendship, or feeling like the smaller version of yourself around certain people — this is your permission to pause, pray, and let the Father define what healthy looks like in this season.

And if you're wondering how to find your four after the shift? It might start with just one person, one conversation, one moment of Holy Spirit-filled eye contact at church. Healing doesn't have to be a full overhaul. He is gentle. He is ready to show up.

Grab your coffee and lean in, sisters. It's time.
