The Christmas season is a busy time of year for many people. Shopping, visiting, cooking can really fill up a person's life. But sometimes that happens at the exemption of the most important aspect of Christmas - reflection. Without reflection, Christmas is lost in materialism.
Advent means "coming." Christmas is the first coming of Christ. We, as believers, reflect on the Son of God coming into the world. But it doesn't stop there. We also reflect on His Second Coming, when He returns in righteousness. We are living between His two comings.
