In this episode we focus on research around gender-based differences in social media use.
Dr Seán Crowley, Trainee Editor of the IJPM, sat down with Dr Lorna Staines to discuss the recent article she co-authored, An investigation of gender-based differences in social media use, sexting behaviours and body dissatisfaction as risk factors for poor mental health and self-harm in adolescents: a cross-sectional population-based study.
Dr Staines is an Assistant Professor in Psychology at Maynooth University with research interest in youth mental health and public mental health.
