Joseph from Below Deck Med managed to be simultaneously obnoxious and lonely, and Captain Sandy's advice to Nathan — stay professional, don't give the guy a reason — was probably good ethics and terrible television. We wanted the arm wrestling match. The escape room charter, though, was genuinely remarkable: night vision goggles, a blackout dinner, riddles hidden around the boat, and a full escape room built on essentially no budget. The tip worked out to roughly two months of a teacher's salary from a single charter. Wrong career. The Real Housewives of Rhode Island reunion delivered on almost every front except Rula, who kept getting blindsided on live television by facts she apparently hadn't fully reckoned with yet. Joellen showed up with receipts, timestamps, and documented evidence of a 2.5-year affair while Rula seemed to believe it was a one-time mistake. Alicia's financial situation is the reunion moment that landed hardest: her name isn't on the house, they aren't married, and the person assuring her she'll always be taken care of is the same person whose fidelity and financial transparency are both open questions. On In the City, Danielle walking into Yvonne's wedding dinner in what reads as white on camera was the kind of chaos that splits the room cleanly. She had the text receipt. She wore it anyway. And then she was completely insufferable when the bride reacted badly, which is consistent with her entire trajectory. On The Valley, Danny drunk on the party bus, snapping at Nia with a nasty edge in his voice while she calmly tried to help him, made it very hard to stay in his corner. Janet had real momentum going and then introduced a victim backstory as a storyline device at exactly the wrong moment, burning the goodwill she had built. Michelle, meanwhile, is quietly becoming the most valuable person on the show: her moment telling Nia directly and without drama that a lot of people are uncomfortable around Danny was what an actual friend does. On the books side, Virginia Giuffre's memoir "Nobody's Girl" and Carole Clare Burke's "Yesteryear" are both still living rent-free weeks after finishing them, which is the only metric that matters.
