Usually he’s behind the cameras making the lads look good, or at least doing his best, but this week GoLoud’s Video Creative Andrew Hart sits down to tell his own story.

The lads know Andrew from working with him every week, so they were shocked to hear what he has been carrying behind the scenes. Growing up in rural Offaly, Andrew had a very close bond with his parents, but after years of health struggles in the family, things took a heartbreaking turn when he lost his dad to cancer in 2020. Just a few years later, he also lost his mam after her struggles with grief, addiction and mental health ended in suicide.

Andrew spoke with honesty and compassion about losing both parents so close together, and the impact it has had on him as a young man. He also told us how therapy helped him begin to process his grief, and why he wanted to share his family’s story in the hope it might help someone else keep going.
