On this episode we are continuing our series on the Uncanonized Revelations from the Restored Version of the scriptures. Today Joshua Erickson and I take a look at JosephSmith Revelation 4. Now for those unfamiliar with this revelation, there are some instructions given by Joseph Smith that it is acceptable for Mormon men to marry Native American women. As you can imagine the theological and societal implications are massive as we consider this. Josh puts forth a hypostasis about race and lineage that gives a lot of food for thought as we consider this revelation. We take a look at scriptures from the Old Testament, The Book of Abraham, and The Book Of Mormon which illustrate examples of blessings and cursing's from a scriptural perspective and what that means for us today as practitioners of the Restored Gospel.
